World Blood Donor Day 2021 Jitendra Singh

Sometimes due to road accidents and sometimes due to terrorism, the process of getting the roads red with blood in Jammu and Kashmir continues. In such a situation, when the injured are brought to the hospitals, they need blood. In such a situation, people who donate blood selflessly work to save the lives of these injured. There are many people who have donated blood many times. One of them is Jitendra Singh, a resident of Bhor Pind in Jammu. He not only donates blood himself but also tries to save his life by arranging blood for many needy patients with his friends.

38-year-old Jitendra has donated blood 37 times so far. He says that he was not even 19 years old that when his father’s friend needed blood, he went to the hospital with one of his relatives and donated blood. After this, if anyone would have asked for blood donation, they did not. Jitendra then joined the Guru Nanak Langar Mission organization. Jitendra, a businessman by profession, says that now after every three months, he comes to Government Medical College, SMGS or any other hospital to donate blood. The last one and a half year remained in Corona. During this also donated blood five times.

Jitendra says that this year, during the time of Corona, he along with the head of the organization, Baljit Singh, got arrangements for around three hundred units of blood. It is a matter of happiness that with the cooperation of all the members of the organization, many have been helped. Ram Lal is also associated with this institution. He has a negative group. He has also donated blood continuously for the last few years. He comes as a time messiah for the people by donating blood 34 times, when people are losing hope of life due to lack of negative group everywhere. The head of the organization, Baljit Singh, says that the patients of Thalassemia in Corona needed blood. Efforts were made that they also keep getting blood.

When the blood banks were empty in the hospital , volunteers became Sahara: In  the time of epidemic, when the blood banks of the hospitals were empty. Even groups like B-positive and O-positive were not available in GMC. In such a situation, these volunteers were the hope of the patients. Dinesh Gupta, former secretary of the Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu, says that in Jammu, awareness about blood donation has come among people more than before. Many students studying in colleges and universities also come to donate blood.

Blood given to unknown people: Kushal Ajrawat, a resident of Barnoti, Kathua, donated blood  ten years ago to save the life of an unknown person. 32-year-old Kushal has donated blood 24 times after this. A day earlier, he donated blood for a cancer patient at the Medical College, Kathua. He says that he works with a pharmaceutical company and knows very well that his one step can save the life of any needy patient. Just thinking about this, he donates blood. Till date, every time he has donated blood, he did it to help all the unknown people. He says that everyone has to understand that donating blood can save someone’s life. Blood donation can be done after every three months. In the corona epidemic, patients needed more blood. There was no blood in the hospitals either.
