Schools closed in Punjab

Members of the Recognized and Affiliated Schools Association said that on March 31, a demand letter will be given to the Deputy Commissioner of all districts, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Education Minister. Even if the government does not open the schools, they will not back down from fighting even harder.

Jalandhar, The government’s order to close all schools has been opposed by the Recognized and Affiliated Schools Association (RASA) in the wake of rising cases of Coronavirus infection in Punjab. On Tuesday, Punjab head of the association Ravinder Singh Mana said in the press club that on March 25, teachers, staff, and parents will all protest by waving black cats and black flags to protest the closure of the schools.

On March 31, a demand letter will be given to the Deputy Commissioners of all districts, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Education Minister. Even if the government does not open the schools, they will not back down from fighting even harder. He said that all the schools affiliated with Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) are in rural areas. Among them, only the children of the lower and middle class are studying. Out of these, 40 percent did not get any fees since the year. Still, they are giving the right to education to those children. On the other hand, the conditions of schools are getting worse day by day. The government should pay attention to this. All the instructions given by the government are being followed in schools. Till the time the children will not study, how will the quality of their education improve.

Due to Covid, the children were graded and passed last year. This time also it is doubtful that the same decision will be taken by the board. But in this way, the level of students’ education is constantly falling, which will prove to be fatal for the future. Sukhwinder Singh Bhalla, Sujit Kumar, Jagjit Singh, Harjit Singh, Sktar Singh, Charanjit Singh, Sukhminder Singh, Jagpal Mahajan, Shiv Kumar, Swaraj Kumar, Pratap Singh Sandhu, Kuldeep Singh, Harshdeep Singh Randhawa, Adarshpreet Singh, etc. were present on the occasion.
