Blood Moon

Giving information about this, the US Space Agency NASA wrote , “On May 26, the entire moon will go into the shadow of the Earth. And when it is not in the shadow of our planet, it will look bigger and brighter than before.”

This is the second super moon of the year 2021. The first super moon was seen on 26 April.

According to the news agency PTI, the partial lunar eclipse will start at 3.15 pm according to Indian time and will run till 6.22 pm

Full lunar eclipse will be seen in western North America, western South America and East Asia. During this time, the blood moon will be seen for 14 to 15 minutes.

What are Super Moon and Blood Moon?

Super Moon: Super Moon is an astronomical event during which the Moon is closest to the Earth, so it looks bigger and 14 percent brighter. It is also called Perigee Moon. The position closest to the moon or any other satellite from the Earth is called Perigi and the farthest position is called Apogi.

The moon is called a super moon only when it is at a distance of 3,60,000 kilometers or less from the earth.

Perigee’s position will come at around 7.23 minutes on May 26, when the moon will be at a distance of 3,57,309 from Earth.

Many people discuss the impact of the super moon on the earth and on us, but there is little evidence to prove that it causes events like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, floods or bad weather.

The effect of the moon is definitely on the waves of the sea, Phoolmoon and Numun are those times when the ocean waves are strong. But even in the case of perigee, it does not matter more than five centimeters on an average .
