Excercise

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch the Fit India Movement in the country on the occasion of National Sports Day today so that the countrymen are made more aware about fitness. But the reality is that we are far behind in terms of Indian exercise. Most people do not exercise as much as they should. 

In many surveys conducted so far, it has been revealed that there are about 64 percent of Indians who do not exercise, and among them, the age group of people between 18 and 47 years have 30 to 40 percent number of not exercised. According to a study by the Indian Council of Medical Research ICMR, about 54 percent of Indians do not do any kind of physical activity and only 10 percent are those who do some very amateur physical activity. 

Diseases like diabetes, cancer due to physical inactivity Physical inactivity means physical inactivity is the biggest cause of most chronic and non infectious diseases. The 4 most common non-infectious diseases are heart disease , cancer, diabetes and respiratory disease, which causes about 60 percent of people between 30 and 70 years to die. This burden of diseases increases the cost of health as well as the economic productivity of the country. It has also been suggested by the United Nations that excercise should be included in the medical records of every person as a question of inquiry. 

There is at least 150 minutes of physical activity every week. In
2018, the World Health Organization WHO launched an action plan worldwide to improve physical activity and try to prevent non-infectious diseases. According to WHO, if an adult is doing less than 150 minutes of physical activity a week and if a teen is doing less than 60 minutes of physical activity in a week, it means that his physical activity is inadequate and he needs to exercise and increase physical activity. 

There are many advantages to exercise
Exercising not only keeps our body fit and healthy but also has a positive effect on the brain. Blood circulation remains better in the body, the problem of high blood pressure is overcome, the problem of sleeplessness is overcome, memory is increased, learning power is improved. Not only this, by exercising and increasing physical activity, depression, stress and dementia also overcome.
