At the same time, it has been decided to postpone the 12th board examination for the time being. It has been said to consider it again on 1 June 2021.

This year, students of class 10th will now go to the next class through internal assessment.

In the press release issued by the Union Ministry of Education, it has been told that a meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which this decision was taken. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Cabinet Secretary, School Education and Higher Education Secretary were all present in this meeting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in this meeting, “The health of the students is our priority. But along with the health of the children, also take care that it does not affect their studies.”

CBSE 10th examinations were to be held from May 4 to June 7, 2021. At the same time, the 12th examinations were announced between May 4 and June 14, 2021.

Normally, these examinations were held in March-April, but due to the corona epidemic, this time the board examinations were announced to be late. In this regard, several guidelines were issued for the safety of students.

In this year’s CBSE board examinations, 21,50,761 children were supposed to appear while 14,30,243 children are expected to appear in the 12th examination.

Why did the government decide?

The rapid rate of corona infection in India is being seen as a second wave. Its havoc is high in a state, comparatively less in some. Since the CBSE board is seen as the central board in the country, due to this, the students appearing for this board examination come from all over the country.

So it is important that CBSE board exams be conducted simultaneously in all states.

The number of new patients coming to Corona daily is increasing rapidly in states like Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Delhi and Gujarat.

The Chief Minister of some states had put such demands in front of the central government.

On Tuesday, both the Chief Minister of Delhi and the Education Minister had pleaded that if the decision on the CBSE board exam is not taken soon, they can prove to be super spreaders. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed happiness over the decision taken on Wednesday.

Does the verdict matter to CBSE 10th students?

According to the latest decision, the CBSE Class 10 board examination has been canceled.

From the CBSE board, now students will be given an ‘objective criterion’ to promote in the next class. Based on that, the result of the students will be prepared. If a student is not satisfied with the result prepared in this way, then after the condition of the epidemic improves, they will be given a chance to take an exam.

But when and how these ‘objective criterias’ will be prepared from CBSE, how long will the results come, when the dissatisfied students will be able to take the exam again, nothing has been told from the Ministry of Education.

It is being told that a detailed guideline from the CBSE regarding this will be released soon within the next 24 to 48 hours.

The reasoning of the authorities behind the decision is that since most students are enrolled in the 11th school in the same school after 10th, there will be no difficulty in preparing the result in this way. Students who want to enroll in another school in 11th may have some difficulty.

But keeping in mind all aspects, it is being said that the guideline is removed.
