Eid Al Fitr is a magnificient festival that marks the end of Ramadan (Muslim holy month of fasting). The entire month before Eid is filled with loads of prayers and gratitude. After a month of prayer, devotion, gratitude and self control, Muslims celebrate the occasion of Eid or the festival of breaking fast. There is a national holiday in many part of the country.

Significance of celebrating Eid Al Fitr

On Eid all Muslims across the world pay their honor to Allah for offering good health and wealth to them after a month long fasting. The month is embarked as a Islamic sacred month. Eid Al Fitr is also behold to pay tribute to Allah for granting strength and resistance during the month long fasting.

It is believed that good actions are repaid 10 times during the ramadan month and therefore the 30 days fasting furnishes prosperity, peace and harmony to all indivisuals who dedicate themselves into the sacred month.

Importance of Eid Al Fitr

Eid Al Fitr is celebrated to mark the end of Ramadan month. It is very important for muslims because they feel that they have accomplished a lot in the entire month. All their prayers (namaz) have been answered by Allah as they get a chance to celebrate Eid with their loved ones. Eid Al fitr is also termed as “Meethi Eid” as the people celebrate by making delicious sweet delicacies at their homes, one of which is seviyan.

Muslims across the world are observed to celebrate Eid Al Fitr with full energy and lively. The day begins with prayers (Namaaz) and thanking Allah for everything shortly after the sunrise. The day proceeds by devotees wearing new clothes, gathering together with friends and relatives and wishing each other “Eid Mubarak” and also sharing sweets with each other. Childrens get gifts from elders which is termed as “Eidi.” The families get together and celebrate by eating together, and with lots of laughter and love they celebrate the festival together.

The celebration is not finished without eating the famous Eid delicacies, that includes Haleem, Kebabs, Biryani and mouth-watering deserts like seviyan.
