Earlier, there was a belief among people that drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water every day is very important for good health. Now, it has changed. Every day 2 to two and a half liters of fluids, including things like tea, coffee, juice, is enough for the body. However, people who have to work outdoors all day may need more fluids.

Drink as much water as you thirst, says Dr Ashish Contractor, a preventive cardiologist, there is no benefit to drinking too much water. How much physical work a person is doing and how the environment in which he is living depends on all these things, how much water a person should drink. By the way, 2 liters of water every day is enough. But the thumb rule is that you intake water according to your thirst. Drink as much water as you thirst.

Hydration index of plain water is low
The most important thing is that the hydration index of plain water is much lower than that of HI milk, orange juice and ORS. Actually, the hydration index means how long it stays in the body after drinking water or a liquid. If your urine output is clear within 1 hour of drinking water, it means that water is not staying in your body. According to the new Scientific Fact, the plain water does not stay in the body and immediately passes out. Therefore coconut water, lemonade, juice etc. should be consumed instead of too much plane water.

There may be many diseases, too much water can cause inflammation in your kidneys. Apart from this, drinking water without thirst makes your attention worse, sleep starts decreasing and sometimes there is a possibility of kidney damage. Excess water can cause hypoteromia in which the salt level present in the body decreases and the brain becomes inflamed. Blood pressure increases with too much water, the heart is not able to complete.
