Delhi University will implement new national

Delhi University will implement a new national Under the new National Education Policy (NEP) brought by the Union Ministry of Education in the year 2020, the process of implementing its suggestion regarding higher education along with school education has been going on by various educational institutions. In this sequence, Delhi University has given the approval to implement NEP 2020. In the meeting held on Tuesday, 31 August 2021, the Executive Council (EC) of DU approved the implementation of NEP from the academic session 2022-23. With this approval, a four-year undergraduate course will be conducted from the year 2022 as per the proposals by Delhi University.

The Academic Council of Delhi University had earlier passed the agenda on August 24, expressing dissent against the decision of 16 of the 26 elected members. He also alleged that there was no discussion and he was only asked to submit a dissent note.

Explaining about the approval of the University Council for the implementation of NEP in DU, Registrar Vikas Gupta said that the new National Education Policy will be implemented from the session 2022-23. He also said that the implementation of the NEP and the four-year undergraduate program was approved by the Standing Committee on Academic Affairs and the Academic Council last week.

Multiple Entry/Exit Scheme (MEES) in the four-year UG program starting from the next session at DU as per the suggestions of National Education Policy 2020, where students will be able to enter and exit the course in different phases, and the meetings held last week Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) was also approved in the The EC, which is the highest decision-making body of the university, approved MEES and ABC.
