Airtel and Vodafone are facing intense competition from Reliance Jio in terms of pricing. This has led to price wars and the completion between the top players is heating up.

Airtel and Vodafone have revamped their prepaid plans to offer more than 1GB data per day for under Rs 500 in some cases.

Lets have a look at the postpaid plans from Airtel, Vodafone and Jio which offer 40GB per month.

Vodafone Plans-Postpaid

Vodafone’s Red plan at Rs 499 comes with 40GB data per month with the option of carrying forward the residue date to next month.. The maximum limit capped at 200 GB allowed.

The plan includes roaming, STD and local calls and 100SMS also. It also includes a years free subscription to Vodafone Play app with access to TV shows and movies.

Another plan offered by Vodafone starts at Rs 699 with 50GB data, unlimited calls on roaming, local, STD, along with 100 SMS per month.This plan also includes a subscription to Vodafone Play app.

The third plan offered by Vodafone is the Rs 999 Red plan, this has 75GB data, along with the same features of the other Red plans. This plan also includes a 2-month subscription to Netflix, which is not offered by the other two plans.

Airtel Postpaid Plans

Airtel’s Rs 499 plan which was recently revamped in Feb 2018 brings with it 40GB of data with unlimited calls for local, roaming and STD. It also has the option of carrying forward the left over data to next month. This is capped at 200GB. It also includes a free access to Wynk TV, Wnyk Movies and TV along with one-year free subscription to Amazon Prime for those who get an Infinity Postpaid plan.

Airtel’s Rs 799 Plan comes with 60GB of data per month and includes unlimited calls on roaming, STD,local and the option of 3G/4G data rollover to next month.

The next plan is the Rs 1199 plan which comes with 90GB data per month and all the other features of the above-mentioned plans. The postpaid plans have no daily data limit which is present in Reliance Jio postpaid plans

Reliance Jio Postpaid Plans

The first plan offered by Jio is the Rs 509 plan which comes with 60GB data and there is a Rs 600 security deposit for the plan. The plan includes unlimited calls on local, STD and roaming, but it also comes with a daily data limit of 2GB.

Jio’s Rs 799 plan has a Rs 905 security deposit and comes with 90 GB data billing cycle. The daily data limit is 3GB per day.

Coming to Jio’s Rs 999 plan it has a security deposit of Rs 1150 and comes with 60GB data per month and no daily FUP.

With Jio’s entry into the telecom market, the completion has become stiff and there are continuous price wars. This is good for the end user who gains from these competitive tactics. The telecom game is set to become more and more competitive and this will surely benefit the common man using a cell phone.
