A Delhi Police team reached Twitter India office on Monday evening in connection with the investigation into the “Toolkit Manipulation Media” case.
On Monday afternoon, a special cell of Delhi Police sent a notice to Twitter India in this matter.
News agency PTI was quoted as saying that a team from the Special Cell of the Delhi Police reached the Delhi and Gurugram offices of Twitter India.
According to the agency, the Delhi Police team went to the office to give notice to Twitter India as part of the regular process.
Citing sources, the news agency has written that it was necessary to go to the office so that the notice is given only to the right person.
After the Delhi Police team reached Twitter India office, Congress Party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala reacted by tweeting one after the other.
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav also condemned the Delhi Police’s action.
He said that this will worsen the global image of the BJP government.
