Excess intake of fructose in Washington food can damage your liver, a study has revealed. According to the study, fructose-rich diet damages the liver’s ability to burn fat.

According to a study published in the journal Cell Metabolism, high fat content in the liver improves the fat burning function of the liver, while fructose rich food has a negative effect on health, even if both contain equal amounts of calories.

Harvard Medical School professor and lead author C. Ronald says that the most important thing that came out of this study is that fructose rich diets cause harm.

He said that the bad effect is not due to its high calorie but due to its effect on liver metabolism. By taking fructose rich diet, your liver stores more fat. Scientists also discovered that with fructose rich diet, the amount of fat in the diet is also high, so the chances of getting liver function disturbances are high.

What is Fructose: Fructose is simple sugar which is found in fruits, vegetables and some natural sweeteners. It is also found in the market as a sweetener.
