In the case of cutting the beard of a tantrik in Loni, Ghaziabad, the police has again sent notices to five people. The first notice was sent on June 21. The second notice has been sent on July 2 for not responding to it.

For the first time in this case notice has also been sent to Congress leader Shama Mohammad and owner of a media institute. Ghaziabad’s Loni Police has again issued a notice under section 41A of CrPC. In this, the accused have been asked to appear and reply within a week.

Police has sent notices to Salman Nizami, Mashkoor Usmani Dr. Shama Mohammed, Dharmendra Chatur, Twitter INC Resident Grievance Officer for India, Twitter Communication India Pvt Ltd and Siddharth Vardharajan, owner of The Wire, for recording their statements.

On June 17, the police had sent a notice to Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari regarding the trend of inflammatory videos in the beard cutting incident of elderly tantrik Abdul Samad. In which it has been said that he will have to record his statement at the Loni Border Police Station within seven days. But he did not appear before the police. Apart from this, the Karnataka High Court had restrained the Ghaziabad Police from initiating coercive action against Maheshwari. The court, in its interim order, had said that the police can interrogate Maheshwari digitally.

Let us tell you that in Behta Hajipur of Loni Border Police Station area, a case of torture and beard cutting of Bulandshahr’s elderly was taken hostage for three hours by four auto-riding youths. The incident happened on June 5.

The video of the incident had gone viral on social media on June 14, nine days after beard cutting after bearding elderly tantrik Abdul Samad. The video trended on June 14 and 15. Some people tried to give a communal color to this matter.
