Tokyo Paralympics Noida DM Suhas L Yathiraj The Indian contingent continues to play brilliantly in the Paralympics held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. India has so far confirmed 15 medals here. On Saturday, Pramod Bhagat and Suhas L. Yathiraj won their respective badminton semi-final matches to make it to the final and ensured India two more medals. Now both these players will enter the court to win the gold medal.

On Saturday, Indian badminton player Suhas entered the final with a 2-0 win in the men’s singles SL4 group match. A straight game win against Indonesian player Setiawan Freddy made his way to the gold medal. Suhas won the first game easily with a score of 21-9. After this, in the second game, the Indonesian player gave some competition but lost the match 21-15.

Indian players have given their best-ever performance in the Paralympics. India, which participated in the Paralympics for the first time in the year 1968, had won a total of 12 medals till the current event and after that, it has achieved historic success by winning 13 medals in a single event.
