The Electricity Regulatory Commission has released its notification on Friday after which its discussion has started in the city of Noida. According to the notification, new consumers will be given possession along with the electricity department’s meter. At the same time, old consumers living in highrise societies will have to install a direct meter to the department by 31 March 2019.
By March 31, 2019, about one lakh consumers will increase to about one
and a half lakh electricity consumers. Work on installation of direct meters in highrise societies is expected to begin after the instructions from the Power Corporation. More than one lakh people currently live in Noida’s Highrise Societies. It is believed that by March 31, 2019, the domestic consumers of the electricity department will increase by about one lakh more.
You may have to spend 8-10 thousand. At
this time, the cost of taking the domestic connection of the electricity department is about 8.5 thousand rupees. Although how much the consumer will spend under this scheme, it is not yet clear, but according to official sources, every consumer will have to pay about 8-10. There will be a charge of 5000 electricity meters and the rest will have to be given security.
Two meters will be installed in every house
The electricity department will install its own separate meter with no link to the builder’s DG set. In such a situation, people will have two meters in the house, including one meter direct connection. Department and another meter of DG set and maintenance charge.
These will be challenges – The
electricity department will be able to understand what the builder has set up in society wiring because the builder will never want that the scheme of getting direct connection of the electricity department is successful. This will cause the builder a loss of millions.
So far, the electricity department itself is not able to confirm whether the existing wiring will be able to provide connection or not. If a separate setup had to be made it would be very expensive for the department.
Consumers will once again have to bear the burden of paying electricity connection as the builders are already seated up to 50 thousand rupees from consumers in the name of meter and connection facility.
The electricity bill was cut in the name of the bill, due to the people having pocket-
maintenance charge and the same meter of bill, the builders have been accused of confusing the bill.
– It is believed that if someone’s bill of 4 thousand comes from the meter of the builder, then about 2500 will come from the direct connection of the electricity department.
