Colombo Sri Lanka is a priority defense partner for India and wants to strengthen this partnership. India has said this on the occasion of the 70th establishment ceremony of the Sri Lankan Air Force. India has sent its fighter aircraft to Sri Lanka to participate in this ceremony.

The Sri Lankan Air Force will celebrate the ceremony on 2 March. It will have fly past and many other programs. Such a grand event will be the first time in Sri Lanka. A total of 23 aircraft of the Indian Air Force and Navy will take part in the ceremony.

India will have a big participation in Sri Lanka Air Force celebrations

The Indian High Commission in Colombo issued a statement announcing the importance of Sri Lanka and India’s large participation in its Air Force celebrations. The statement said that India will cooperate fully in the security of Sri Lanka. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had visited Sri Lanka and assured the leadership there. Doval visited in connection with the trilateral talks on maritime security. India, Sri Lanka and Maldives participated in this dialogue held in November 2020.

Sri Lankan Air Force celebrations will include Sarang helicopters, Tejas fighter jets from India

The statement said that this sense of cooperation has arisen after years of close relations between the Indian, Sri Lankan Army, Air Force and Navy. Under this, Sri Lankan Air Force celebrations will include Sarang helicopters, Surya Kiran aircraft, Tejas fighter aircraft, Tejas trainers and Dornier maritime patrol aircraft. All these aircraft are made in India.

Sri Lankan officials will sit and use for the first time in Indian aircraft.

Sri Lanka Air Force and Navy officers will sit and use them for the first time in these aircraft. This ceremony will be a chance to show the friendship and trust of the two countries.
