The 9th team can also be seen playing in the next IPL.

Recently the Motera Stadium was rebuilt and now the seating capacity of the audience has gone up to over 1 lakh. In such a situation, from next season, Ahmedabad team is also going to play in the IPL.

A franchise official said, “The BCCI has told us that we should be ready for the mega auction in the next few months. Though nothing has been said about it officially yet, they have asked us to be prepared. It means It is that the BCCI has made its planning. It is also right to auction the IPL. ”

During the mega auction, the franchise is allowed to retain 3 players and for 2 players they have the option of Right to Match. However, the retention policy is yet to come for the upcoming season.

Another franchise official said, “The retention policy should remain the same, even if a new team is coming. It is not right for all the players to go to the auction right now. Teams have built their brand value after so many years of hard work If all the players are auctioned then they may have to suffer a lot of loss.
