After winning the bronze medal in boxing, Indian female boxer Lovlina Borgohain at the Tokyo Olympics, some cricket personalities have appreciated her achievement. Former Team India batsmen Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma and Venkatesh Prasad congratulated to Lovlina on social media.

Former cricketer Virender Sehwag tweeted and wrote, ‘Fantastic Lovelina! Third Indian boxer to win an Olympic medal. Congratulations on winning the bronze. Lovlina is the third boxer after Vijender Singh (2008 Beijing) and MC Mary Kom (2012 London) to win a medal at the Olympics. Thanks to the efforts of the Assam boxer, India have now improved their tally at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games by winning one silver and two bronze medals in Tokyo.
