IND vs ENG: Now only a few hours are left for the four-match Test series between Team India and England to begin. The first match between the two teams will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has returned to the team for this series. Hardik was not part of the last Test series played against Australia, which captured the historic Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2–1.

It will be interesting to see if Virat will feed the spin all-rounder or give Hardik a chance in this match. Speaking on the team’s playing XI,

former cricketer Irfan Pathan has said that Hardik is finding it difficult to find a place in the playing eleven because of Washington Sundar.

Jasprit Bumrah had imitated bowling action, now Anil Kumble reacted

According to a report in Dainik Jagran,

Irfan has said that Washington Sundar could be given the top spot

due to Hardik being a spinner and performing brilliantly in the Brisbane Test.

According to him, if he plays Washington, he will get a chance to bat at number seven, so Hardik’s chances will be reduced.

Apart from this, Irfan described Team India as a contender for victory in the Test series between India and England and said that India will be able to win the series 2–1.

He said that if England has a chance of winning in any match,

then it is a day-night match in Ahmedabad as the evening conditions in Motera can help England a little more.

Jaffer selected Indian team for first test, included him

Looking at Washington Sundar’s Test career,

he has played only one Test match so far,

but his debut match became a witness to the team’s historic Border-Gavaskar Trophy win.

In the decider, Gaba Test match between India and Australia, Washington performed brilliantly.

He kept India in the match by scoring 62 runs in the first innings at the Gabba and then a quickfire 22 in the second innings,

including a six over Pat Cummins. Apart from this, he also took four important wickets
