Fourth BJP MLA passed away Dal Bahadur Kori The global pandemic corona virus infection is becoming extremely deadly for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs. In the last fifteen days, four BJP MLAs have died due to corona infection.

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Bahadur Kori from Salon in Rae Bareli was in the grip of corona virus infection in the past. Dal Bahadur Corey, who was very active during the panchayat elections, died on Friday. Earlier, three BJP MLAs had passed away due to corona virus infection at an interval of four days. The party, which started its political innings with the Bharatiya Janata Party, also joined the Congress with Bahadur Kori BSP, but then returned to the BJP.

Before Dal Bahadur Kori, BJP MLA from Lucknow West Suresh Kumar Srivastava, BJP MLA Ramesh Chandra Diwakar from Auraiya Sadar and BJP MLA Kesar Singh Gangwar from Nawabganj in Bareilly succumbed to the Corona infection. All these were extremely active in the election of the Zilla Panchayat.

BJP legislator Dal Bahadur Corey was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Lucknow. Dalbahadur Kori, a BJP MLA from Salon assembly constituency in Rae Bareli, died from Corona on Friday morning. The sick MLA was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Lucknow for about a month. The demise of the MLA triggered a wave of mourning. He was told that he was coronated and was admitted to PGI. He was discharged from the hospital when the report came negative. Health deteriorated again. When the investigation was conducted, the report came back positive. After this, relatives were admitted to Apollo.

Political journey of Dalbahadur Kori: Joined BJP in 1984 in Kanpur. He was active in the Ram Mandir movement in 1989. Got a ticket from BJP in 1991. On the way to enroll, the convoy broke a leg. Shivbalak Pasi of Congress won the election. In 1993, Dalbahadur Kori got a ticket from BJP, then defeated Shivbalak Pasi of Congress. Government fell in 18 months. He again contested elections in 1996 and defeated Shivbalak Pasi. In 2002, he contested elections as Minister of State for Social Welfare, in which SP’s Asha lost to Kishore. In 2007, after joining the BJP after not getting a ticket from the BJP, he too joined the BSP after not getting a ticket and contested the elections. In this, Shivbalak Pasi of Congress was defeated. He joined BJP again in 2012 and lost to SP’s Asha Kishore. In 2017, he got a ticket, defeated Congress and SP-backed candidate Suresh Chaudhary.

Education: Studied up to class five in Barua, a primary school in the development block of Dih. After this, he passed the junior high school in Parshedpur till class eight, then tenth from a school in Pratapgarh district.
