Five teenagers drowned during Ganesh idol immersion at Pariyar Ganga Ghat in Safipur area. Two died, while one is undergoing treatment at LLR Hospital in Kanpur. The other two were sent home after their condition returned to normal. Neelu and Abhishek Pandey, residents of Hamirdev of Makhi, had established a Ganesh idol outside the house. At around three o’clock in the afternoon, Pariyar had reached Ganga Ghat for idol immersion with tractor-trolley and four-wheelers along with many people of the village.

During the immersion, 17-year-old Lavkesh son Jai Singh of this locality, 17-year-old Prashant son Shivnaresh Singh of his family, 16-year-old Vishal son Ramkishore Seth, Abhishek son Ramswaroop and Sumit son Ramshankar drowned. accident happened in haryana Devotees who had gone to immerse Ganesh idols in Haryana’s Mahendragarh district at around 7.30 pm on Friday, suddenly fell into the canal and were washed away. The people around took everyone out of the canal after hard work. Out of 8 people who drowned in the canal, four had died and the condition of four people became critical, who have been admitted to the hospital.
