Vedanta Lanjigarh Refinery Recognised as an Energy Efficient Unit

At the 26th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2025, Vedanta Aluminium’s Lanjigarh refinery was recognised as an Energy Efficient Unit. The recognition highlights the refinery’s innovative practices in optimising energy use across cooling water pumps, compressor units, boilers, and digester units. Besides, these initiatives will help Vedanta in reducing GHG emissions by 25% by 2025 and achieving the Net Zero target by 2050 or sooner.

Vedanta Kalahandi: Dual Excellence in Energy and Safety

In another development, Vedanta’s smelter at Jharsuguda, Odisha, also got recognised for its dual excellence in safety and energy management. At the CII SHE Award for Odisha, Vedanta Jharsuguda smelter received a 4-Star Rating and secured the second runners-up position for the Eastern Region, in recognition of its robust safety, health and environment (SHE) practices.
